Nvidia Threaded Optimization Auto Or On. Go to solution solved by guest 5150, july 3, 2020. Nvidia should have been more clear on what their threaded 'optimization' really is.
It says this on tweakguides. Threaded optimization is an opengl option, just like triple buffering. Global offensive community and a hub for the discussion and sharing of content relevant to cs:go.
The Available Settings Are Auto, On And Off.
Welcome to /r/amd — the subreddit for all things amd; The settings i change are just the dynamic range and video color settings. But then your other games don't benefit from having it on, unless you change the profile for all of them.
On The Other Hand, I See People Saying It's Best To Leave It On Auto And Let The Driver Decide If It Should Use It For The Game That Is Being Played.
Threaded optimization is be set to auto. I strongly recommend the default option of auto, allowing the drivers to set this appropriately for various games. Keeping it on may/will hurt performance!
Nvidia Geforce Drivers Have A Setting Called Threaded Optimization, Normally Set To Auto Which Is Used To Spread Cpu Usage By Hardware Accelerated Games Over Multiple Cores.
So simply turn it off. Leave on auto, and force on only for relevant titles. After many hours of investigation, i have discovered something insidious:
I Just Leave It Alone On Auto And Think Nothing Of It.
If the above is not possible, maybe i could detect the feature is enabled and give my users a warning about this. Open windows control panel → nvidia control panel. No sim or game will be able to utilize a cpu like this optimally.
Threaded Optimization Has Nothing Related To Vsync.
For those who doesn't know what nvidia threaded optimization does, as far as i understand it tries to spread workload of main cpu thread to other threads, thus lowering cpu bottleneck. Nvidia should have been more clear on what their threaded 'optimization' really is. This seperates the vsync thread from the main render thread and improves triplebuffered rendering only.
